Next, kids will sit on the scooter (criss cross applesauce), pulling themselves forward using their hands on the rope. Have them creep across the beam to get to the scooter and rope. Have them hold their spider in their hand as they crawl or slide under the web to get to the balance beam. Have kids start at the plastic spiders, choosing one and balancing it on their belly as they crab walk to the crepe paper web. Hang the hoop at the end of your obstacle course with a few pieces of packaging tape. Tie a rope between two stationary objects, low enough that kids can hold onto it and pull themselves, hand over hand, while sitting on a scooter board.Ĭreate a spider web by wrapping the clear packaging tape around a hula hoop with the sticky side facing out. Place the balance beam after the crepe paper spider web. Be sure to leave enough space at the bottom of the web for kids to slide/crawl through on their bellies.
